Dennis Rodman Owes Over $800,000 in Child and Spousal Support

Seems like Dennis Rodman's over-the-top lifestyle has finally caught up with him.

According to a report by the Los Angeles Times, Rodman owes over $800,000 in child and spousal support to his third wife, Michelle Rodman, who filed for divorce from him in 2004. (The NBA Hall of Famer was also briefly married to Carmen Electra in 1998.) If he doesn't pay up by May 29, the former Chicago Bulls forward could face 20 days in jail.

Over the years, Rodman has carefully cultivated a bad boy reputation, to the point where his off-court antics have eclipsed his professional accomplishments. The 6 foot 6 power forward famously donned a wedding dress in a bizarre publicity stunt intended to promote his autobiography, and the police have been summoned to his oceanfront Newport Beach home nearly 80 times because of noise complaints from neighbors.
Rodman is also reportedly struggling to work out tax issues. The 50-year-old cashed out his NBA pension in order to pay California taxes, and still owes close to $350,000 in back taxes to the state.
His financial advisor, Peggy Williams, say the court's May 29 deadline just isn't realistic given her client's current financial situation and his ongoing struggle with alcoholism. "His sickness impacts his ability to get work," Williams told the LA Times. And over the last few years, things have been especially dire for Rodman, she says. Added Williams, "This case...has put him on a binge that I have never seen before."
